Spinning Around

A few days ago, my favorite knitting needles broke so I've been doing my best to try to fill my time while I wait to get them replaced. I remembered that I had a bunch of merino wool fiber stored away and got to spinning it, and it's the softest thing ever. I love the deep blue and love feeling it between my fingers as it spins. I can't wait to make a scarf out of it for the upcoming winter (I'm talking like summer didn't just start. It's been in the high 90's all week).

Spinning For the First Time

So yesterday, my first skein of yarn finally finished drying and it turned out so soft and fluffy and wonderful *sigh*. Sadly, it's in my least favorite color, pink, but the fact that I am finally able to spin my own yarn has outweigh that fact. I'm definitely going to try knitting this up, and hopefully I'll be able to sell items that I knitted out of my own hand-spun yarn! So excited.
