Mother's Day

Mother's Day has come around again and I am late with the present giving. But then again, my mom's over in Japan right now visiting family, so I guess it's alright. This year she asked for a cardigan, and I am happy to oblige. I'm going to knit her Reine by Alexis Winslow from the Wool People 3 collection. I've been waiting for an excuse since forever to knit something from a Wool People collection so I'm very excited. I'll be knitting this in Berroco Vintage yarn, very soft and plushy.

An Uneventful Day

I don't know how, but for some reason I was able to only have class on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays this quarter. So yesterday, I spent an uneventful, but peaceful day watching documentaries, drinking coffee, and knitting. I wish every day was like this.

New Yarn!

I recently got invited to sell my knits at my church event and I'm so excited. I got to buy a bunch of yarn and it just came in the other day. Here is a picture of me with my yarn with my very content face.

Goodbye for now, I'll be knitting.

Spinning For the First Time

So yesterday, my first skein of yarn finally finished drying and it turned out so soft and fluffy and wonderful *sigh*. Sadly, it's in my least favorite color, pink, but the fact that I am finally able to spin my own yarn has outweigh that fact. I'm definitely going to try knitting this up, and hopefully I'll be able to sell items that I knitted out of my own hand-spun yarn! So excited.

I'm Stuck, But I Have So Much To Do

I'm currently designing a new beanie for my shop, but I ran out of yarn. Very big bummer. But on the bright side (literally), I'm knitting up a new, bright cotton scarf for the upcoming spring months. It's super soft and silky, with a lovely shine and will be up on the shop (hopefully) by tomorrow or so. I also ordered a bunch of new yarn. Yarn is definitely a non-guilty pleasure I attempt to take part of every month or so. The feeling of euphoria that comes with a new delivery can't be beat.

I'm also ordering some business cards for myself so I can start giving it out to try to build a name for myself. There's only one item in the shop right now, but I want to start getting my name out as soon as possible. It's a bit scary doing this, but I've already decided to give it my all.
